Jennifer King, DVM

Dr. King grew up on a working ranch near Coulee City, where her family raises commercial beef cattle and AQHA horses. Dr. King earned her DVM from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship in equine surgery, medicine, and ambulatory practice at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma. Dr. King then returned to WSU for a year to refine her skills in diagnosis and treatment of lameness problems while performing a fellowship in equine othropedic sports medicine. During her internship and fellowship she also performed clinical research and published a study on MRI findings in 232 horses with lameness localized to the fetlock region without a radiographic diagnosis. She was chosen to present this research at the American Association of Equine Practitioners Annual Convention in San Antonio and at the WSVMA Annual Conference. Dr. King has also contributed to articles in Western Horsemen and The Horse. In her spare time, she enjoys going home to help her family on the ranch.

Kim Dailey, DVM

Dr. Kim Dailey joined Sun Valley Equine in 2022 after completing an internship in equine medicine at Bend Equine Medical Center in Bend, OR and working in mixed animal practice in Pasco for two years. She is a Washington native from Wenatchee and showed Arabian horses in 4-H, Pony Club, and with the Arabian Horse Association before she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from WSU (Go Cougs!).  Dr. Dailey is passionate about partnering with clients to improve the health of their animals and hopes to be a leader in the community through local organizations such as 4-H and Pony Club. She has an active interest in mentoring students and coaches for the WSU Veterinary School’s communications course. She is especially interested in equine metabolic disease, dentistry, and geriatric care and has completed coursework for acupuncture certification. She and her Arabian gelding, Socks, started showing dressage in 2021, and she hopes to move up through the levels! In her free time, she enjoys watching sci-fi and historical dramas, running and hiking with her husband and adventure buddy Jeff, and cuddling her cats, Monty and Simcoe.
