Jennifer King, DVM
Dr. King grew up on a working ranch near Coulee City, where her family raises commercial beef cattle and AQHA horses. Dr. King is a WSU alumnus, and earned her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship in equine surgery, medicine, and ambulatory practice at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma. Dr. King then returned to WSU for a year to refine her skills in diagnosis and treatment of lameness problems while performing a fellowship in equine othropedic sports medicine. During her internship and fellowship she also performed clinical research and published a study on MRI findings in 232 horses with lameness localized to the fetlock region without a radiographic diagnosis. She was chosen to present this research at the American Association of Equine Practitioners Annual Convention in San Antonio and at the WSVMA Annual Conference. Dr. King has also contributed to articles in Western Horsemen and The Horse. In her spare time, she enjoys going home to help her family on the ranch.

Ryder, Morale Officer
Ryder belongs to Dr. King. He is a Shih Tzu/Yorkshire Terrier and provides a valuable service here at the clinic; helping keep everyone grounded on those long days. Ryder is a great listener and leads by example- demonstrating loyalty, devotion, and a fearless sense of adventure. When he is not busy here at Sun Valley Equine, he enjoys keeping Dr. King company on the road.

Parker, Pest Control
Parker is a domestic longhair. He came to us with his sister from the barn of a client. His sister was adopted but Parker stayed to provide his fly catching services and goofball antics. Parker works long hours, keeping us all entertained with his daring acrobatics maneuvers.
